Riding Bean!

If you haven’t seen this yet, I’ll recommend that you do so now. This is a pretty good OVA about Bean using his riding skills to let criminals escape, with some good driving animations, nice music and a simple, but nice plot.

Description:

In Chicago, ace courier Bean Bandit rules the road, and operates on both sides of the law. If a cargo absolutely positively has to be there NOW, Bean’s your man – for a price. Want to ensure that the getaway from your latest heist goes smoothly? No problem – but it will cost you. Bean’s latest cargo is a 10 year old girl who is worth 50 grand when delivered home. What he doesn’t know is that she has already been kidnapped and he’s about to be framed for the snatch. Meanwhile, the real kidnappers are making off with the $2,000,000 in ransom money! Will Bean discover the ruse in time and get the money himself? Will he evade Inspector Percy’s relentless pursuit? No matter what, the Chicago Police Department is going to have a huge auto repair bill!

Nadesico Ep3!

Today we present you another episode of Nadesico! There happens a lot in this episode so be sure to keep your eyes open!

Revision of Neo Tokyo.

So, a re-release of Neo Tokyo. The earlier video was sourced from an R1 DVD, this time the video is sourced from an R5 DVD. The Russians took the video from the R2 disc which is not as blocky as the R1 video is, though, all in all the R1 video is not so bad at all, but of course I had to create a new encode once I got my hands on a better source.
For the audio, though, I used the R1 audio. The audio on the R5 disc is a poor 5.1 up-mix from a stereo source, even the R2 DVD itself has stereo audio. Also, this time I’ve included the English dub.
Subtitle-wise nothing much was changed besides a few tweaks on the typesetting. Also, since the DVD has Russian subs I’ve included them as well.

A small description:

An omnibus that consists of three short anime films based on the short stories written by Sci-Fi novelist Taku Mayumura: “Labyrinth Labyrinthos” (the screenplay and direction by Taro Rin), “The Running Man” (the screenplay, direction and character design by Yoshiaki Kawajiri) and “Order To Stop Construction” (the screenplay, direction and character design by Katsuhiro Otomo). Elaborate and gorgeous images for maniacs.

Now some screenshots, the first few are just here to show you how the anime looks, the ones down are a comparison between the old and new encode.
